Camellia Garden and Nursery – open to the public

With most of our Garden Shows and Camellia Shows cancelled this season, we are getting lots of enquiries and lots of visits from folk wanting camellias.

Hi ..I have a Mrs D W Davis descanso…spelling may vary..in cannon hill brisbane…have a question how to propagate.. thank you mervyn

  2. Propagate the same as for any camellia – sasanqua and Japonica – as a cutting in summer – around mid/late December for us – when the wood is ready. Use a rooting hormone for semi hardwood cuttings. Cover with a plastic bottle to maintain humidity and keep moist and in a shaded petition. Roots should be viable after 4 to 5 months. You can also graft on to sasanqua July to September or air layer. Hope this helps.
